REAL FOOD RUM BALLS
GLUTEN FREE | DAIRY FREE | VEGAN | MAKES APPROX. 24 RUM BALLS
INGREDIENTS
2 cups roasted almonds
10 fresh medjool dates
2 cups shredded preservative-free coconut, extra for rolling
1/2 cup raw cacao powder
3 tbsp virgin coconut oil
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
2-3 tbsp spiced rum or rum of choice
Pinch salt
METHOD
Place almonds into a food processor and blend into a fine crumb.
Add remaining ingredients. Blend briefly into a stiff paste, careful not to overblend.
Roll tablespoon-sized portions into balls and coat evenly in shredded coconut. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
