REAL FOOD RUM BALLS

GLUTEN FREE | DAIRY FREE | VEGAN | MAKES APPROX. 24 RUM BALLS

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups roasted almonds

  • 10 fresh medjool dates

  • 2 cups shredded preservative-free coconut, extra for rolling

  • 1/2 cup raw cacao powder

  • 3 tbsp virgin coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

  • 2-3 tbsp spiced rum or rum of choice

  • Pinch salt

METHOD

Place almonds into a food processor and blend into a fine crumb.

Add remaining ingredients. Blend briefly into a stiff paste, careful not to overblend.

Roll tablespoon-sized portions into balls and coat evenly in shredded coconut.  Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
